• Hi,

    Can anyone help?

For some reason, Simple Twitter Connect is not posting to my Twitter account even though I have selected auto post. Nor is it posting when I try to do it manually from the post page, or from the dashboard…

    Can anyone help?

Do you see an “Autotweet set to Twitter User” message on the settings page? You should see that message, with your twitter name in bold, when it’s set properly. Make sure to SAVE after you do the authentication thing, so that shows up.

If that does show up, then you might have a different problem. Go to your Connections page here:
    https://twitter.com/settings/connections

Make sure that the connection shows “read and write access”. If you accidentally set up your application with read-only access, then you’ll need to follow these steps:

    1. Go here and edit your application: https://twitter.com/apps
    2. Change it to “Read and Write” and click save.
    3. Go back to your Connections page and Revoke Access to your application.
    4. Go back to the STC Settings page and do the authentication dance again, making sure that it says Read and Write or that it can tweet as you (I forget the exact wording).

    Hi there,

Thanks for those tips – it’s still not working.

I’m not sure why – I revoked access, then started again using the instructions you set out and changed the access to read and write, but it is still not tweeting.

When I try to tweet from the post page, the clock comes up at the top and just keeps going even when the page has fully reloaded…but nothing happens.
