Twitter "cashtag" support

The mechanism posting to Twitter is replacing dollar signs with hash symbols.
For example, this post was sent via SNAP:
https://twitter.com/CBOE/status/369864806305517568In WordPress the tags #BOBE and #MDT are actually $BOBE and $MDT (to take advantage of Twitter’s “cashtag” feature).
Note that the “cashtags” appear correctly in the same post sent to Facebook:
