Just adding twitter to site for first time. No problem installing Twitget. Followed YouTube video on twitter account setup. Copies over keys and codes (twice to be sure)> But getting the error:

    Twitter outputted an error:
    Could not authenticate you

    Two unknowns I can see…

    1. should this be checked?: Allow this application to be used to Sign in with Twitter

    2. Under OAuth settings, what should the Request URI be?

    What else should I check?

    Thanks.

Appreciate the response. But as I said in my original note.. I followed the YouTube video with no success. The video did answer the questions regarding the Twitter account settings:

    1. should this be checked?: Allow this application to be used to Sign in with Twitter

    2. Under OAuth settings, what should the Request URI be?

Do you know the answer to these? Anything else I should check?

    Thanks. m

You don’t need to use any of those. You login with your twitter account on https://dev.twitter.com.

I’ve just started creating a test developer account, when you enter the basic settings; name, description, website (leave the callback url blank) you then go to a new page, there you click the button “Create my access token”. Wait a while, refresh the page and copy the respected values to the settings area. (these are marked on the screenshot)

    That’s it ??

Or alternatively, follow the good instructions here – https://www.prophoto.com/support/twitter-api-credentials/

    Cheers.

Not sure what the problem was, but I re-createded my access tokens and all is well. Looks great. Appreciate the quick response. Mike
