This plugin supports channels. Just the channel stream without the chat.

I assume you mean with the chat and the related videos at the bottom? How do you currently embed this?

All the links on your embed open the twitch.tv website so it somehow beats the purpose of you ask me. Not sure if this is because your channel is not live while I tested.

As you may know twitch has this separate iframe embed code for the chat. You could use some HTML markup and CSS or a CSS GRID system if your theme supports it to build something like this that is responsive on your own. Let me know where your embed comes from and I may look deeper into this or provide you with some snippet.

    Thanks for responding Nico!

Yes, you saw it while I was not streaming live. Therefore, it just redirected people back to Twitch. When I am streaming live, they can watch the show right from the page, which is what I want.

Ok, so it doesn’t support the chat. I’m ok with that, I can always add the chat as an iframe. What code would I need to use to embed the channel at the current resolution I’m using?

    Thanks mate

The usual way should work. Put the URL in its own line, use the button to let it generate a shortcode for you or write the shortcode youself.

The basic channel shortcode would be just your usename as ID like
    [twitch id="scotchandsmokerings"]

    https://www.twitch.tv/tsm_dyrus Normal channel

    https://www.twitch.tv/tsm_dyrus/b/500898967 Past Broadcast URL

    https://www.twitch.tv/tsm_dyrus/c/3674140 Highlight URL

Let me know if this works.

Hey thanks again for the help. I really appreciate you responding.

It half worked. I got the channel to embed, however it isn’t responsive. The channel bleeds off the frame when viewed from my iPhone.

Also, it won’t play on mobile devices, though that’s the fault of flash surely.

Its perfectly responsive and the fact that you asked for a code how to embed this while its the totally normal way you embed all providers with this plugins shows no effort from your side. On top of this it took you 6 days to respond. You gave me no link and the homepage on your site is still the old code running so nothing for me to look at. I am done here, if this is not responsive on your site then it has to do with your theme or whatever but not with this plugin.

And yes if providers serve their iframes with flash on mobiles this plugin cant and never claimed to do magic. Responsive is still helpful on devices that support flash.

Yikes, sorry to offended you. I actually did try the code snippet you provided, and then tried viewing it from my iPhone, and it was not responsive. But you’re probably right–it’s likely the fault of my theme, not your excellent plugin.

The code on my homepage is still the old code because after I saw that the code you provided failed, I switched it back. I do not want to show my viewers a broken experience. Again, this is likely due to my theme, not your plugin, which works very well.

I take a while to respond because, you know, I work and stuff. I can only spare time to work on my sites a few times a week.

Sorry to have consumed your valuable time.
