• How do we configure Twilio for incoming messages. At the moment no incoming messages appear in the plugin including ‘stop’, ‘unsubscribe’ messages.

Twilio has 3 settings for incoming messages

    1. Drop the message
    2. Defer to sender’s webhook
    3. Send a webhook

I assume I need number 2 or 3. but how do we set it up? any documentation on these?

What Callback URL should we provide in twilio for number 2?

    Hi

Thank you for opening the thread, the incoming message is not supported in the plugin at the moment, we already have this feature in our backlog to implement it, not sure exactly when it would be done but we’ll notify you when is done!

    Thanks!

That is not good at all. So the plugin does not get the unsubscribe/stop requests and keeps trying to send them messages.

Since we’re supporting lots of gateways and most of them don’t support the incoming message or webhook, that’s the reason we haven’t added this feature in the plugin yet, but for some special gateways such as Twilio, we’ll implement that soon.

I think it is important to note that 1. Twilio is not just another gateway but a major player. 2. Unsubscribe communication is not just another feature but very essential in proper and professional implementation.

    we’ll implement that soon.

Is there an actual plan, roadmap as to when this will happen?

Unfortunately, there is no specific time but we’d start implementing that next month hopefully. but I’ll keep you updated on this thread.
