Twice Daily Cron Events

The “Twice Daily” schedule actually means the events will run every 12 hours. So if it starts at 3PM then the next event will be 3AM, etc.

However, I was wondering if your cron plugin could help create a second cron event at a specific time (as opposed to every 12 hours).

I have a plugin which runs at a particular time.

However, I would like to have it run twice a day at 2 different times.

I simply want to add one additional event at a separate time.

In that case the only way you can achieve that is by adding two separate events, start them at two different times (eg 3AM and3 PM), and have them both run using the “Daily” schedule instead of the “Twice Daily” schedule.

Yes, however, I do not want them run 12 hours apart. I would like 1-2 hours apart. Is that possible?

Yep no problem, you can set the start times as you wish, for example one at 3AM and one at 5AM.

I selected twice daily, however, it did not give me a field or option for setting the additional time.

Nothing changed other than the selection I made.

Is there something else I need to do?

Please take a look at my earlier comments. You need to add two events, both with the “Daily” schedule, with two different start times. I can’t help you any further with this.
