twentythirteen sidebar widgets height

i use wordpress twentythirteen template and am wondering on how the height of the sidebar widgets is calculated? the widgets dont have any CSS styles regarding height.

so i guess, the height of the widgets is somehow calculated via javascript? still, i dont grasp it.

what i want to achieve is, to resize one specific widget.
