    Hi

I helping my wife building her blog

    Marilyn’s Closet

and have noticed that some of the elements in the sidebar is not responsive, they display all right, but the are unclickable.

I have recently updated both the theme and WP itself, but I am – however – not able to verify that this is the root to the problem. I have not had any business clicking the links/ads/widgets in the sidebar for some time so I have no idea of how long this issue have been present.

Only change I can think of to provoke this situation is that I’ve moved the ‘Facebook like-box’ div around because I’ve tried to push it to the right of it’s current position and place it absolutely. I think I was very careful to restore everything to it’s original state when I was unsuccessful with moving the div without ruining something else. But maybe I screwed something up.

I hope someone has an idea of how to fix this issue with the sidebar and it’s functionality or how to restore the sidebar altogether and start over.

    Thanks
    Claus

It’s to do with how the template is built. The HTML structure isn’t normal for two elements floating aside on another.

You can resolve your issue by adding position: relative; to <div id="primary">.

    Hi Again

Actually, upon a little more testing it didn’t totally do the trick. There are still 2? element that are unresponsive.

The ‘Bloglovin’ image is clickable on the bottom part only (weird as it sounds) and the ‘Bloglovin’ text underneath is as well as a ‘Bianco’ ad also not clickable. As far as I can figure, all 2? of the them are placed within the div id=”primary”

Any chance you have an idea about this as well?

    Thx

I can’t find, “Bianco” and “Bloglovin” bits of text. Can you point to a specific excerpt of text where the issues are?

It’s not bits of text, all 2? unclickable elements are javascripts in text widgets, named id=”text-2″ id=”text-21″ and id=”text-15″.

You need to make it easier for forum volunteers to find the issue. Can you point out a text excerpt from the unresponsive widgets and let us know which page they’re on?

    Hi

    Sorry about that.

It’s on every post/page on https://www.marilynscloset.dk where some part of the sidebar still is not clickable. You can see which widgets it is here

    https://www.bloglovin.com/widget/bilder/en/widget.gif?id=3476819

    and here

I.m not quite sure exactly what excerpt you mean, but her is the code from the ‘Bloglovin’ widget.

    <a title="Follow Marilyn's Closet on Bloglovin" href="https://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3476819"><img alt="Follow on Bloglovin" src="https://www.bloglovin.com/widget/bilder/en/widget.gif?id=3476819" border="0"></a>

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to make it easy for you to assist me.

    Many regards.

How was the “follow this blog with bloglovin'” widget created? It just seems to have an image and no anchor tag.

Just a text widget with the mentioned code. Strange part is that the image above with the lady is also a ‘Bloglovin’ thingy, and it’s working just fine. But before I rearranged things on the sidebar only half of that image was clickable.
