The style sheet indicates layout for a one-column layout.
How is the one-column layout switched on???

  • the one-column layout is a page template in TwentyTen.

if you want to have the whole theme as one column, you would need to edit some of the template files, and remove the call of the sidebar, and also change some code to the way it is in the one-column page template.

to use the full width of the theme, you would need to make further changes to style.css.

when you have started and run into problems, post back here with a link to your site.

When you create a page or post on right hand side there is box page attributes from there you select the template you want to use for that page or post default, full width no sidebar or one column no sidebar.

What do you mean, “When you create a page or post on right hand side”?
The right side is the widgets area, very narrow. How or why would one post in such a narrow area?

Also, the template description states: “It includes stylesheets for print and the admin Visual Editor, special styles for posts in the “Asides” and “Gallery” categories, and has an optional one-column page template that removes the sidebar.”

I don’t see and “Asides” or “Gallery” categories when I open the Categories section of WP.

If alchymyth’s advice is correct, this description is inaccurate.

Govpatel, please provide step-by-step help. To make a general state for a fix does not provide the understanding necessary for a solution.

    Govpatel,
I found your box for creating Pages, but not for Posts.

I think with posts there no choice of templates as you just default.
