Twentyfifteen menu problem

  • I am working on my localhost using the twentyfifteen theme and I have added a nav menu to the header as I prefer to have one, I have also made it display: inline so that it is a horizontal menu.

    The problem I have is that the sub menu items are showing as main menu items so just in the list and not as drop downs with an arrow.
    I prefer the dropdown, how do I add it?
