• Hi,

I just changed to Twenty twelve and when I set the static front page to home all is ok, but when I try to choose “blog” for the posts it only offers me the pages on my custom menu of which “posts” or “blog” are not an option.

So, when static page is chosen the “home” page displays for both home and blog.

Am I missing something her? Please help.

    Thanks

  • I just went through this myself. I am a near newbie, so take with a grain of salt. If you go to Appearance –> Menus, over on the right check to see if one of the panels is labeled ‘Custom’ instead of Page. That ‘Custom’ menu item confused me for days giving me two ‘Home’ pages, both going to the same place. I opened it up, and checked down at the bottom, “Remove”. That solved my problem after I added the Blog page that it mysteriously also eliminated. But be forewarned, that option of ‘Custom’ seems to have disappeared forever; I can’t get it back and I never knew its function. My site is being developed locally on Instant WordPress, so I don’t have a link for you to go to.
