Twenty Twelve > Featured Image Size – Change to cropped size?

  • Hello everyone,

    I am new to the forums and hope that someone can help.

    I would like to find out how I can change the size of the featued image in the Twenty Twelve theme?
    I would like it so that if I uploaded a 624px x 390px featured image, it would crop it to the size 624 x 150 automatically.

    Does anyone know how to add/change this to the Twenty Twelve theme?

    Forgive me if I am not good at explaining this. My site I am working on is not online at the moment.

    UPDATE

    I have just fixed my issue to ‘HARD CROP’ the featured image. Using codex: add_image_size

    What I would like to know, the crop only shows the top part of the image, how do I change it so it takes the crop from the middle of the image?

    I hope I make sense there?
