• here’s a link to the style sheet

    https://hardonhollywood.com/keepingviolet/wp-admin/theme-editor.php

    I’ve been reading other threads on this, but can’t find similar code in my style.css

    I really do need to change the style sheet, since I always want a space between paragraphs, and also to frame pictures I put in. It would be too tedious to have to put in line breaks all the time.

    So maybe someone here can point out exactly where/how on my style sheet I would do this.

    Thanks so much.

  • I am sorry, I just assumed that no one would purposely use such a term not knowing what it meant…I am proven wrong each day!

    I didn’t say there wasn’t a double entendre. You are just reading a lot else into that. It’s a catchy title that’s tongue in cheek. Not to your taste? Fine. But, I do think you could lighten up about it.

    As I do not know what you did not say, I cannot agree or not agree with your comment.

    All I can say is, when I read the title Hard On Hollywood, my first reading of that is being hard on something–as in critical. That there is another meaning that adds edge to it, is also there. And, yes, I do realize that. But I’m not at all interested in purveying “Adult” content, and people who come to the site, and find they like what I write won’t be going there for that either. In the end, it’s just a catchy title. Could you at least agree with that?.. (computer filter issues aside, I mean)

    .. anyway, I’m sure you mean well.. so.. it’s just a subjective thing, it seems.

    WPyogi, I pasted that code under the import line. What does that do, though?..

    Come on, Violet? What was the point of this thread? Look at the topic and read what I’ve said…you need to change the number in the margin line if want bigger paragraph spaces. Change the code to this:

    .entry-content p,
    .entry-summary p,
    .comment-content p {
    	margin: 0 0 30px;
    	margin: 0 0 2.714285714rem;
    }

    Note that it won’t change the part that’s messed up by Word…

    I’m sorry, we did get sidetracked.

    Okay. So, I pasted what you have under the import line.

    I guess I need to re-enter some text, and see if that works then.

    Sorry if I’ve frustrated you.

    Okay, it worked. I’ll need to make it smaller, but it worked.

    Thanks, WPyogi.

    And thanks again, Seacoast, for pointing out some things that I now need to consider.

    WPyogi, I wonder if you’d delete my long paragraph [that starts “All I can say is] since it’s off track, and didn’t accomplish much, at any rate.

    I would add that this code stuff is rather overwhelming to those not very versed in this material.. and also, it wasn’t I who brought in that other topic.. and in an unpleasant way, too.

    I just feel unhappy today that things wound up with one person judging me, and one person mad at me. I hope this isn’t the typical Word Press experience.

    It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Editing or deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but. generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public.

    I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.

    (@violetflower)

    I didn’t say it was extreme. I just said it was off point, which is what WPyogi pointed out as well.

    Then the answer is still “No”.

    Thread Starter violetflower

    (@violetflower)

    Yes, I understand that. You know, you can still resort to friendliness. I won’t think less of you (!)

    I hope you won’t but the answer is still “No”. ??

    (@violetflower)

    Ha!

    (thanks for making me laugh)

    Well – I’m glad I was of some use. ??

    And thank you for taking it so well. The harsh truth is that, if we do this for one person, it opens up the floodgates for others to start demanding the same. And those are floodgates that we really, really, do not want to open for a whole host of reasons.
