Twenty Twelve 1.2 Release Notes?

The header change is one I may transfer over to my child themes – I’ll have to take a closer look.

I copied-and-replaced the first part of that one over but kept what I already had following for dealing with the dimensions.

Is there anywhere that a non-code explanation of the changes can be found? I don’t “speak code” yet. I just got everything working on my site a couple of weeks ago, so I would really like to not break anything. ??

@es Ivy – backup your site before updating – that’s the fallback to avoid grief.

Also, you should not be modifying any theme files – I hope that’s not what you mean. Any changes to theme files should be made only in a child theme. If you’ve used just settings/options in the Dashboard, you should be fine, but backing up is still good practice.

Yep, I’m not venturing into anything other than using the dashboard until I’m comfortable with the code and learn how to make a child theme.

And yes, I have backups, but if I have to use them that’s one more thing to learn – when I finally thought I could breathe more freely for a minute!

I wish they released an explanation of what the updates of 2012 are with the new version.

Not really, but the only noticeable changes that were of any major concern to anyone were some color changes made in the previous update (1.2). So if you have any links that do not look like you want them — link color, hover color, visited color — as you navigate your site, just start a thread about that and someone will help you get a Child Theme going so you can have the colors you want.
