• Working in the twenty thirteen theme. In my secondary widget area, I have a couple image widgets. If I go to Settings > Reading and select Front page displays your latest posts, I get my posts on the home page (which is what I want), but no sidebar appears.

If I create a page called home, go to Settings > Reading and make my front page a static page and pick “Home”, the homepage shows up with the images in the sidebar.

My widget is set to Show On Checked and I have checked both the Front page and the page called Home.

I would really like the widget to appear on a front page of my latest posts. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Site is https://www.buxmonttorch.com/wordpress

    Thanks!

Anyone? If you look at the current site, what shows up in the sidebar shows up because I have it showing up on every page. As soon as I say to only put it on the Front page, it disappears from the Front page.

I am having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Okay, I figured out what the problem was. Apparently, this new update of WordPress doesn’t seem to like it when you use Schemas (www.schema.org). I was using schemas throughout my site to help improve SEO. Guess I can’t do that now…

You should be able to use schema.org fine in a WordPress theme. I don’t think that is the problem here.
