Twenty Thirteen Footer Issues – Can it just go away?

So, if you look at this page (Yes, i’m using a child theme)

I know the issue with the sidebar overlapping the footer, and how hard it is to make go away and have this content background there like i do, and that’s fine.

But is there a way to just make the secondary footer that come sup like that go away? I just want the content to be empty if possible, so the image in the bkg shows, and there is just a space between the content and the bottom?

The red portion that just keeps on creeping up is a big issue. Can anyone at all help me in removing this or fixing this issue? It’s a big headache.
