So, like you can see, the problem is that any theme isn’t uploading the custom header. When the image cropping step should come there is just… blank space where I should see the picture.

-I’ve tried to upload it from media library
-I’ve tried to upload it from my own computer
-I’ve changed the write access to wp-content folder to 777
-I’ve tried to change write access in all folders to 777 but then it gave me Internal Server Error
-I’ve also tried Twenty-Eleven in hope that it might work better but it gave me blank page just like Twenty-ten

Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, I could easily just change the header code in child theme and show the image there, but the problem is that the site isn’t mine. I’m doing it for one elderly woman who doesn’t know anything about these things and she wanted to be able to change the header image easily by herself. So… is this wordpress bug, something I can fix or do I have to contact my host?

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default 2012 theme with all plugins deactivated?

Okay, tried that. Blank space is still there.

Have you checked – using FTP – that the image files are being uploaded to wp-content/uploads?

Yes, files are showing up there. The default access just is 666 every time I try to upload something, may this be the problem here? Here too I tried to change it afterwards to 777 and then upload it from media library but still nothing.

Yes – it could be. Files should be 644. Folders should be 755.

Oh, now I get it. I tried now with another picture instead and with it all worked just fine now. Then I started to look sizes of the files and noticed that the actual logo picture was like 3kb too big ?? So… fixed and thanks for the help <3

    No problem ??
