    Happy new year all!

I am not sure if I am imagining this, but I thought that the Twenty Sixteen theme has built in support for site logo. I have a feeling I saw it when I did my first install, but I may be wrong. The theme even comes up on the wordpress site under the site logo filter (https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/site-logo/), which I am guessing only shows sites that have built in logo support.

Can someone please confirm if there is built in support for site logo in the Twenty Sixteen theme?

For more background my site is self-hosted and is mainly a vanilla wordpress install, but has some key plugins like jetpack and akismet installed. Site URL is https://mofella.com.

I am aware of the use of special plugins/theme overrides to implement this functionality, but would like to avoid using these approaches if it is built in.

    Thank you for your help

I had posted this query on wordpress.com too and have received a very good answer. Reproducing it here for everyone else.

“Twenty Sixteen supports site logo only on WordPress.com.

Self-hosted version of Twenty Sixteen doesn’t support site logo. It sounds odd but I found this info in this .org forum thread. They have a suggested a solution to create a child theme.”

Full thread on wordpress.com is available here.

This might be a programming bug. I can’t find the options either.
