Twenty Seventeen Theme: Fatal Error

    I reset my blog using “wordpress database reset” to start over with a new theme: Twenty Seventeen (I changed from JV Blog)

    [ Moved to the Fixing WordPress sub-forum. ]

    I set up category pages for my main menu and posted my first post with the categories i wanted it linked to and when I tried to open my first post, from any menu item, I get this:

    I was able to get my header image set, set a menu and then this stopped me.. Any idea what is wrong so I can post and use this theme… I really like how it has laid out but it isn’t working…

  • Hello, jmeier33, & welcome.

    The problem is *not* the 2017 theme. It’s that the site is expecting a plugin called JV, which, as you state, is no longer there.

    If the plugin folder is still in your wp-content/plugins folder, please try appending a 1 or a .old to the end of the foldername & see if that helps?

    Please let us know.

    Disable any plugins related to JV. Most likely the plugin(s) only works when JV theme is also active.

    I deactivated all the JV plugins and it worked perfect!! Thank you guys!!!
