• I’m using Twenty Seventeen as I search for a better theme.

In the meantime, when the page loads for someone, it jumps to section 3 of the front. I have a feeling it’s due to the fact I have something embedded in an iFrame (it’s what I need…I know…I know).

Is there a way to prevent it from jumping down? I’d like to have people read more about my company before asking them to quote with me.

  • What appears to be happening is that when the page loads, the first line of the form somehow grabs focus and most browsers will jump down to wherever the cursor is. Are you using a plugin to generate the <iframe> or did you create it manually?

    I created it manually.

Hmm, I think I asked the wrong question. Did you create the form itself?

The form was created by the company that made the multi-rater it links to.

    I made the iFrame.

Is that what you’re looking for?

You’ll probably need to ask the company that created the multi-rater form; by design, there’s nothing that your site can do that would affect the behavior of a form on the other side of an <iframe>.

Ah, so it’s because there’s a live cursor in a text field.

    Interesting.
