Twenty Seventeen duplicated front page section.

Hello!
I think my theme customizer is not working. Could it be because of a plugin?

I am trying to get rid of a Front Page Section on my theme Twenty Seventeen.
The section is duplicated and I can not remove it. I tried on the Theme Options, on edit page but nothing. The Front Page Section 1 Content is blank, I can not even change it to another section or set it to -select-.

My homepage displays a static page which is Home. And then it is displaying twice Home when on theme options the field is blank.

I’m having the exact same problem. Seems like you solved it. Any chance you tell me how?

I think she chose a completely different theme in the end or did a major rework on the 2017 theme. Several things are different, like the main that doesn’t remain at the top of the page. I think she is using the Pinnacle theme now.

Im glad to know I am not the only one having this issue.

It started for me trying to get rid of one of the subsequent pages that I had on the 2017 theme and combining text and images from the 2nd page into the first.

Then trying to delete or unpublish / hide the 2nd page then just broke everything.
Ive been batting my head against a wall trying to work out what is going on but still nothing.

Then when I try and go into the theme editor under appearance – that section will not load at all. That follows me across multiple browsers and devices – even had a buddy log in on an account I created on WP admin AS an admin user and he got the same issue.
