Twenty Eleven theme problem with resizing

  • Hopefully someone can help me fix this problem… I’m running a wordpress blog using the twenty eleven theme. When the page is resized – particularly when it’s smartphone sized, there ends up being a huge gap at the top. The gap isn’t there when the browser is wider, but when it’s narrow it looks a bit ridiculous! I don’t have any graphics there, so I don’t know what’s making it need such a big space at the top? Anyone know how to get rid of it?

  • The reason for the huge space is the top padding for the site title. Have a look in your style.css file on line 2407 and adjust the padding for:

    #site-title {
    padding: 5.30625em 0 0;
}

    You will need to make it much smaller than the current 5.3em
