Twenty-eleven theme and right column not showing

I let provider install theme but then I went ahead and installed 20-11. Funny thing is despite options set for content left and sidebar right. I cannot get the sidebar to appear (either right or left).

Also how do you search the forums. I am in this forum and see no search box anywhere.
