Twenty-Eleven not showing or saving widgets

  • Hi all. I am using Twenty-Eleven and for some reason, in the last few weeks, it has stopped saving any new widgets I add. For example, I wanted to add a blog button in the Footer Area One. I added a text widget, put in the html, pressed save. Then went to preview my blog and the button is not there. When I refresh my dashboard, the widget disappears as well.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – re-uploading a fresh copy of the Twenty Eleven theme

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
