Twenty Eleven – Add welcome message to the default Home page

By default, the Home page will show latest blog post. I just want to add a Welcoming message before all those blog posts excerpt. The welcoming message maybe some text and images.

I dont want static page as a Home page. The default latest blog post is okay but I just want to add content before those blog posts. Is there any way I can do this? Thank you.
