The Rotating Tweets in the footer of my website has stopped updating but is still rolling. I can’t be sure, but it might have happened when my development site (new.xyz.com) went live (www.xyz.com). I’ve tried turning off SSL validation and have refreshed my Twitter API credentials. I’ve also tried removing and reinstalling the plugin. I’ve now tried to delete the Twitter application and start afresh but now have to go through the delay of signing up for a developer account to make a new application. I’m not seeing any error/warning messages.

It seems like the cache is frozen or the plugin doesn’t think an update is necessary.

Any ideas or suggestions on how I get this excellent plugin working again?

Embarrassingly, this seems to have been a slip-up on my part. It looks like I accidentally changed my screen_name parameter to include the @ prefix of my Twitter handle. This stops Rotating Tweets working and shows the last cached set of tweets instead.

Posting this answer in case someone else falls into the same trap!
