Tweeting random nonsense links that I can’t stop

    Hi there,

    I am having trouble with this plugin. It works fine except for the fact that it keeps tweeting out nonsense links from sections on my site I already unchecked in my settings. It seems to be tweeting out links from my “Contact” page. Not sure why. Can someone please help me trouble shoot this?

    Hi @ashadahya,

    Thank you so much for using the Tweet Old Custom Post.
    You just need to go to exclude posts page by clicking on the link “Exclude specific posts” on the settings page or typing https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ExcludePosts and check the contact page on the list there.

    Hi Dejan,

    I tried to do that, but when I go to the Exclude Specific Posts section it doesn’t allow me to select “Contacts” as that is not a post, per say. What else is causing this problem and how can I fix this?

    Hi, I am sorry but the title “Exclude specific posts” is misleading sorry as it should say “Exclude specific posts or pages” “. Please see the screenshot here https://ibb.co/fQd9V9p (that’s from my site exclude posts page where I can actually exclude contacts page too.

    Hi Dejan,

    I can’t seem to work out how to select “Contact” as in the screenshot you sent. I am only able to select posts, not posts and pages. Is there something on the settings page I need to change in order to be able to select COntacts in the Exclude page?

    Hi,
    Yes… you can select “Posts and pages” on “Post Type:” option.

    Hi Dejan,

    So it looks like I am still seeing the problem with my Twitter account. Although I deselected the “Contact” page, I am still seeing nonsense links which include the name of the person who contacted me and a 404 error link. Is there anything else you would advise?

    I am going to have to delete the plugin I’m afraid.
