Tweak Shortcode Page output

Hi,

Am using shortcodes to display different categories on different pages. All working fine but is there a way to tweak the output? For instance I don’t really want the hit count displayed, and it would be great if I could include the file description below. Is this possible? Is there template I need to alter? (Happy to tweak the code too if you could give some clues!)
