Turning your blog into a mobile app

Hi

I am running a site for a customer who wants to know whether he can turn the site into an app. I have noticed that there are a huge number of plugins out there all offering the same solutions with a variety of add-ons etc. If anybody has had any experience with this could they share the experience and possibly help me make a decision. The customer wants to be able to use categories and also updating the website will update the app.
