• I have a 1&1 website with Managed WP and using Canuck theme. A Canuck tutorial advised me to install the plugin FORCE REGENERATE THUMBNAILS. I have installed that plugin, When I activate it I get a message telling me to turn on the Super Cache. When I try to do that I get the following error message:

Warning: fopen(/homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/1315839382.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php on line 1070

Warning! Could not update /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-config.php! WPCACHEHOME must be set in config file.

Warning! /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/advanced-cache.php does not exist or cannot be updated.

    1. If it already exists, please delete the file first.

    2. Make /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content writable using the chmod command through your ftp or server software. (chmod 777 /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content) and refresh this page. This is only a temporary measure and you’ll have to make it read only afterwards again. (Change 777 to 755 in the previous command)

    3. Refresh this page to update /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/advanced-cache.php

If that doesn’t work, make sure the file /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/advanced-cache.php doesn’t exist:

    1. Open /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/advanced-cache.php in a text editor.

    2. Change the text CACHEHOME to /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/

    3. Save the file and copy it to /homepages/45/d715316733/htdocs/app715316795/wp-content/advanced-cache.php and refresh this page.

Cannot continue… fix previous problems and retry.

    How do I fix this?

I don’t think that is related to the theme. If you can login I would first temporarily turn caching off. Then delete your cache.

Then activate the Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.

Once your thumbnails are regenerated turn your cache back on.
