Turning off Woocommerce breaks Recent Comments

    I’ve been trying to clean up the cruft at my site to work on site speed and decided to retire the Woocommerce related features.

    Unfortunately, I’ve noticed an odd bug that crops up if I turn off WooCommerce. The recent comments functionality of the site breaks. If I turn it off, recent comments as shown in the front page widget or the admin dashboard instead display something like this:

    Action_log on wc_admin_unsnooze_admin_notes
    ActionScheduler

    action created

    I’ve tried searching through the support topics here for some help and found some things that suggested re-running WooCommerce setup might help, but that does not seem to have fixed my issue.

    Hi @kennon1st – It sounds like there may be some leftover cron jobs in the Action Scheduler. You can check for that by re-enabling WooCommerce (and possibly WooCommerce Admin) and navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions. The wc_admin_unsnooze_admin_notes is one that is scheduled for every hour, so you might need to delete any pending cron jobs for WooCommerce there before disabling the plugin.

    Hmmm…. the only ones showing under pending are two instances of woocommerce_update_marketplace_suggestions

    Hi @kennon1st – how odd! Do you have any custom functions possibly? Or any WooCommerce-dependent plugins activated?
