• Whenever I use the wysiwig editor on wordpress it puts many inline styles codes for font size and family even thou I never changed the font on the post. This is a problem because those styles will override whatever fonts I assigned to the blog in css theme.

Other than that I would like to keep the wysiwyg editor since the end user of the site is not exactly tech savvy and it works quite well for simple formatting such as links, bolds, italics, images and etc.

Is there a way to only prevent the wysiwig editor from making <span style=”font-family”> without having to write through the code view?

  • Yes, do NOT copy from Word or other websites.

    Regarding your statement:
I would like to keep the wysiwyg editor since the end user of the site is not exactly tech savvy
I have to disagree: that’s exactly why you would NOT keep that wysiwyg monster, because your client is not tech savvy. Don’t even tell them it exists.
