Turning 3 columns into 2?

  • Im using the Dark City theme, which is 3 columns.
    Thing is, the left & right columns are basically duplicates of each other, with main content in the middle.
    How would I either:
    A. get rid of the left column
    or
    B. Alter one of the columns to be formatted for ad space?
