Turn off Wrong Password logging and keep Activated plugin logging forever?

Is there a way to customize Activity Log to only log “Wrong Password” for say, 5 days but to log “Activated” (so we know who installed a plugin and when) forever?

In other words, how would you go about customizing the logging kept based on the Action? There are certain actions we wish we had a much longer history of, and certain actions we don’t care about. We don’t want to set a blanket “forever” on all tracking for obvious reasons, but it would be great to increase the time CERTAIN logs are kept.
