Is there a way to completely disable the private option for the member directory? I’ve removed the option to set your account to private, I’ve also set all permissions levels to be able to see private, but I can still only see three members when I’m logged in as the lower permission level.
Currently as admin I can see 15 members, as a subscriber I can see 3. I need everyone to see everyone.

  • Hi @ncapehorn

Have you checked in wp-admin>Ultimate Member> User Roles > Edit a user role> Profile Access? Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://screenbud.com/s/QqZsu3dOuLH

    Hi there.

Yes, I’ve unchecked all of the boxes to make profiles private for both Admin and Subscriber (the two groups we’re using). I’ve also checked the box for ‘Can view / access private profiles’ just in case the system didn’t retrospectively make private profiles public.

You can try this plugin to Manage Account and Directory Privacy from the backend:

It shouldn’t need a plugin though should it? I thought if the option to have private accounts was turned off, the member directory should just show every member by default? This seems like a glitch to me?

    Hi there.

Is there any suggested solution as to settings that may need changing? Every role is set to not allow private, and every role is set to able to view private in case there are some that somehow still have privacy enabled. But when not logged in as an admin I see three member – two of which are admin (out of the five admins we have on there), and one is a standard members (out of 9). So it’s not even a specific user role that’s not appearing, it just seems to be random?

    Cheers,
    Nick.

    Hello @ncapehorn

Sorry for the late answer. First of all, try to do a conflict test – try to deactivate all plugins except the UM. And change your theme to the default one. After that check this issue again. Please let me know about the result.

    Thank you.
