    Hello,

After installing and configuring WP Mail SMTP, Better Notifications is working great on my local install.

I’m using it to notify users of new posts in a particular CPT based on their user role – in my case Members.

But, I would like to know if there is a way to then turn off notifications for a particular user. In essence, if someone wants to opt-out of these emails, how could I turn them off just for that user?

    Hi joshuaiz,
    Thanks for your message.

Not yet – there’s no way to say ‘all users but not these users’ at this time. You can however, add all of the users to the notification except for the one that you don’t want, providing that you have a small and manageable site where the number of users doesn’t change all that much.

I do have some improvements on the roadmap that might cover this but it I couldn’t give a time frame at this stage.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,

Yes, turning notifications off by user would be a great feature.

We currently have 59 Members so it is not out of the question but as you might imagine, if we had more it could get a bit unwieldy.
