    Hello,

Is there a way to disable the notification flashing at each page load? I’ve disabled WP Cron and I’m running it through wp-cli whenever I see fit which causes the plugin to literally flash this incredibly distracting notification at every page load.

[warn] SSO Notice: A background task was scheduled to begin 3 days ago to refresh the cache for posts, terms and users. WordPress should have run the wpsso_refresh_cache event hook at that time. If the task does not run, this could indicate a problem with your hosting provider’s event scheduler and/or a lack of support for the WordPress wp_schedule_single_event() function. You can activate a plugin like WP Crontrol to manage scheduled events.

Please advise as I would really like to use this plugin with its premium version and this is the only issue that’s a blocker for me.

    Thank you!

Sorry, a working scheduler is necessary for WPSSO to maintain the accuracy of its cache objects. You can disable WP’s cron (as many sites do), but in that case your OS should fetch the wp-cron.php page on somekind of regular schedule. The notice you provided is correct – a task that was scheduled 3 days ago did not run, so although you disabled WP’s cron, it sound like you did not create an OS schedule to fetch the wp-cron.php page. There’s lots of info available from Google Search – here’s the first result, for example: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/disable-wp-cron/

    js.

Sorry I think I wasn’t clear enough. The example I brought about the cron job not working as it is by default was only an example. As the topic suggests, I would like to know if there is a way to stop the flashing notification.
