Turn off # Lessons

Hi…
I am using LearnPress for displaying in person course outlines. Not selling anything. As usual, not every plugin fits every situation perfectly. So, I am wondering if there is a way to either:
Show “Sessions” instead of “Lessons” or alternatively
Turn off the lessons indicator completely so that it doesn’t show.

I tried modifying the CSS to:
.meta-item.meta-item-lesson{
display:none;
}
but nothing touches it: oddly, using the ;;before parameter I can turn off the little icon, but I can not turn off the entire entry.

Any hints?
