    I saw the bit about turning infinite scroll on/off via jetpack, but that won’t work for me because I don’t have jetpack installed (WP directory is currently password protected)…

    At first I thought that infinite scroll defeated the purpose of making a post private because even though the “private” post disappeared from navigation, it remained visible on the infinite scroll post page. Now that I’ve cleared my cache, however, I see that making a post “private” does in fact remove it from infinite scroll.

    So it’s not such a big burning issue anymore, but I’m still curious to know if you can turn off infinite scroll in the 2010 theme?

    Are you sure Twenty Ten has infinite scroll by default?

    Um,it has it now, and I’m not aware of making any modifications to the theme since I installed last night…

    I just don’t see where you control this aspect of the appearance via the CP…

    Try deactivating all plugins to explore whether any are responsible for it.

    I figured out a kind of cludgy workaround — put up a static home page. The endless page effect is only apparent on the blog’s home page with twentyten, not on the actual post pages. So if you eliminate the active home page, you eliminate endless page…
