  • Deleting your feedburner account won’t delete the feed from your WordPress install or from your blog; you’ll still have a feed. Be sure you’ve deactivated any feedburner or other feed plugin that might still be active, and I think you need to close the feedburner account in order keep feedburner from redirecting your feed.

I have deactivated the plugin on WordPress and it’s still going to Feedburner. Do I need to delete the feed within Feedburner itself? There are subscribers to the feed. What happens to them?

You have to delete the feed in feedburner. Your subscribers won’t see the feed listed in their own feedburner account anymore.

Maybe post on your blog that you’re changing the feed (for language reasons) a day before you delete the feedburner account and tell people to resubscribe from the website the next day?
