Turn off Autocomplete

    How can I add autocomplete=”off” to my form input? Would I do it by creating a class and then enter the class name in the CSS Classes section for each field? As I have 3 rather long forms, is there a way to do it form-wide without having to do it for each field?

    Unfortunately, it’s not possible to do that form-wide at this moment. But I agree that this sounds super useful, so I’ve added it to our feature tracking tool so our team can consider adding it in the future.

    Thanks Jess. I’ve come to realize that the autocomplete=”off” is html attribute and not possible do use CSS. Would I be able to add it as custom html in the Fancy Fields section?

    I see from other forums that the general format is <input name=”q” type=”text” autocomplete=”off”/> but I’m not sure if I need to use all that or just put <autocomplete=”off”/> in the custom area??

    Does the “Basic” paid version include custom HTML or would I need “Pro”? I don’t see Custom HTML listed in the comparison chart.

    I apologize that I wasn’t more clear, but this isn’t currently possible within our forms. As you mentioned, this requires altering HTML within the form, which we don’t support doing (as so many things are dependent on that structure).

    So while our paid version does absolutely include an HTML field (for including text, images, links, etc — here’s an example: https://wpforms.com/add-image-to-wordpress-form/), we don’t have a way to accomplish what you’ve described here.

    We appreciate the suggestion, though, and will definitely keep that on our radar to consider adding.
