Tuning WordPress

  • I am running WordPress in multi user mode on new hardware and the default install of WordPress is really slow.
    Every page in the dashboard takes like 5-10 seconds to load.

    I installed WP Super Cache and the blogs is now really fast if they are in the cache but if the pages is not cached it takes about 5 seconds before the blog loads.

    Is this really normal?

    Is there any plugin available that works with 3.3 for tuning Wordress?
