TT Subscribe2 Front End Addon

TT Subscribe2 Front End Plugin
Provides a front end form through the use of a shortcode to manage subscriptions without sending user to WordPress Dshboard.
We made it for our site, which is a place where coders that developed plugin and hacks for any script are allowed to sell them to others for few bucks…
Goes without saying that we’ll make it available in few hours as I noticed many are looking for this…
I’m not providing a link for the site to look for to avoid spamming. just google “Theme Tailors”
Hope you’ll enjoy it…

This addon for the magnificent Subscribe2 plugin has problems:
it does not provide a solution to hide or replace the link back to the admin page. Thus, users are still able to edit their profiles on the admin page and therefor the addon is useless.
I placed this question on the author’s support page now 3 months ago – no reaction, not even an answer.
Lost 2 bucks.Hi hittheroadjack,
Version 1.2 is now out and automatically hide’s the profile link if logged in & lets you add a custom message if not logged in.
Good luck,
Stiofan
and you could have hidden that link with 1 line of css… BTW
What a plenty of reactions and wisdom – all of a sudden – after 3 months of no communication.
What happened?
If that was so easy with css, why then the new version?
No automatic update or even update message from WP?
I will have a look on it and judge then wether it is now worth the 2 bucks.new version solved other minor problems other user brought to our attention.
I honestly missed your comment on TT else I would have replied.
I don’t think there is an automatic update on that plugin…
The new version adds a message to the shortcode for logged out users, also it should fix some incompatibility issues with other plugins.
This was a wee bit of code i wrote for another project, i thought i would share it for a few “bucks” that’s why it has no auto update.
3 months ago i answered your questions and told you how to fix it then “ok, just remove the S2 shortcode or hide with CSS..” If you didn’t understand how to do that i’ll quote your response to me “Sorry, this is not my problem!”
Judge as you may on whether it’s worth the 2 bucks to you, that wont even buy me a loaf of bread here…
Regards,
Stiofan
Stiofan,
not very polite how you treat your customers in public as ignorant idiots without taking the pain of trying to understand what they are talking about. Even now, you have not understood!
You are going to have a hard time in your business and in life, I guess.hittheroadjack, 3 month ago you asked me for support and i answered a few times and told you how to correct your problem.
Yesterday you posted here stating you still had a problem, i released a new version which fixed the problem for you and wished you “Good luck”, there was no “thanks” from you but more questions in a tone i did not appreciate but i answered all of them.
You claim:
without taking the pain of trying to understand what they are talking about. Even now, you have not understood!
You stated:
it does not provide a solution to hide or replace the link back to the admin page.
Version 1.2 fixes this. If i have not understood your problem it is because you have not explained it.
If you still have a problem and need my help please apologise and fully explain your problem and i will be happy to help.
Regards,
Stiofan
Stiofan,
you’ll wait until eternity for my apology.
I did explain my problem – if you are able to read – and sorry, your advice was bull. ‘Remove the S2 shortcode’ simply means: do not use my software, but pay for it. There are megatons of excellent free software in the net, but never experienced a support like yours for paid software – and if it were only 2 bucks.
And believe me, there is nothing wrong with my tone, it’s just a reflection of yours.
If you are ready for this kind of negative ad here, I am as well.hittheroadjack, S2 is subscribe2 i said remove that not S2FE which is my plugin, my advice was sound, you just didn’t read it properly… I have done nothing but try to help you. Maybe we both misunderstood each others tone, i have no quarrels with you.
I’m glad your problem is solved, good day to you sir…Stiofan
No sir,
not this easy! You take it from the light side again and declare your customer guildy for not reading properly.
I read it properly and, although I saw no reason to do so, I removed the shortcode for Subscribe2 as well and guess what: no more display of the profile as expected – neither through your remaining S2FE shortcode nor elsewhere. And yes, the backlink had disappeared. In so far, your help was correct but for the price of the Subscribe2 functionality.
Question: what is a plugin addon worth without the plugin? And what is a addon worth without the addon?
And guess again: my problem is completely solved now by not using your addon for any price or even if it were free!Hi hittheroadjack, you asked a question so i will answer, i’m here for your support ??
what is a plugin addon worth without the plugin? And what is a addon worth without the addon?
My plugin S2FE adds the front end functionality of Subscribe2 (S2) to any page with a shortcode.
Let’s break it down to what each plugin does:
Subscribe2 (S2) shortcode:
Non logged in users:
Lets a user subscribe by email.
Logged in user
Provides a link to the backend for a user to manage there subscriptions. Now my plugin S2FE shortcode:
Non logged in users:
You can set a custom message eg: “Please login to manage your subscriptions”
Logged in user
Hides the S2 backend message and link with CSS
Displays the form for managing your subscriptions on the frontend. My advice to you was “ok, just remove the S2 shortcode or hide with CSS..” which really depends on how you want to use the plugins, your question was
what is a plugin addon worth without the plugin?
I never asked you to remove the plugin just simply the shortcode which if you wanted all your users to have to login and manage there subscriptions would have worked as it would only have removed the non-logged in user email subscription, the other option was hide the profile link message with CSS which was 1 line of CSS which would have worked if you still wanted to display the email subscription for non-logged in users but hide the profile link for logged in users and only show my front end form.
I hope that answers your question and i’m glad your problems is “completely solved now” however you managed it.
Thanks for your support! Have a great day ??
Stiofan
Ey! I can’t believe it . You can write more than one sentence in an answer.
Good path, keep on going.
BTW, I did not remove the plugin just the shortcode and it did not work in the version of 3 months ago like you describe here!
And to put an end to this fruitless discussion here: you knew that you have a new version solving this, you knew our discussion in your forum 3 months ago and you did not even place a short message there so that one could learn that the problem is solved. Only after reading my post here, you posted that information in your own forum.
Sad story!
Learn and listen! Learn to listen!I have done nothing but help you, you have not thanked me once and you have insulted me several times. True story!
Since you are not longer using my plugin “my problem is completely solved now by not using your addon” I bid you fair well kind sir…
Regards,
Stiofan
o.k. you insist in continuing this!
Here you are:
Your help consisted of one short sentence, was completely misleading and did not solve the problem at all. What kind of thank do you expect for that??
You left your customer uninformed!
You told me several times that I am too stupid to read and understand your intelligent comment! What reaction do you expect from that?
And hopefully, you do not expect me to be thankful for this discussion here.
What an attitude!
