I have downloaded wordpress software and installed it in my site. However,in my site, I have to use blogs (public blog-visible to all visitors of site and private blog-visible only via client login ). So, I want to know, how should I create different blogs,As I have installed the wordpress software and have created one blog.

  • If you want *two* different blogs you need to install wordpress in *two* different directories. You would then need *two* different databaseses or two different database prefixes.

As for limiting access to the private blog, you could password protect the directory the second blog is in.

or you could just use one blog and install a plugin that limits what users see based on their permission levels…

    like the user levels plugin.

The wp-config.php file should point to the different databases – which means that’s the only file that should not be identical in the two installations.
