• hi

I have a main domain. https://sekhu.net – in this i created a folder called wp for my wordpress install.

everything was working fine until i decided to use my existing addon domain for a txp install for my wp install. i deleted the txp dir, the db, removed the addon domain and anything related to it.

i then proceeded to re-add the addon domain (cowinside.com) and direct it to the wp directory. i thought this would be enough and then in the general tab left wp url as sekhu.net/wp with the site address (the second line) as cowinside.com

unfortunately I can now not access the site at all, either via sekhu.net nor via cowinside.com I’m not sure how to resolve this. it took me a while to set up everything, configuring plugins, editing the theme and so on. i would hate to have to do a reinstall.

is there anyway out of this problem?

    thanks in advance.

ps: i have tried the other solutions to those that had this problem before, but to no avail :/

thanks for that link I’ve just tried most of those methods, including wp-config, functions.php and the database edit – and still no luck. Any other options?

ok so I’ve got the site back now – sekhu.net/wp works, but the posts do not show up – and cowinside.com does not work just redirects to the cgi-bin page.

Additionally now my .htaccess file is not being written to. I have increased the permissions, but again it’s not working. I get the following errors:

Warning: is_writable() [function.is-writable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home:/tmp:/usr) in /home/jwwwasek/public_html/wp/wp-admin/options-permalink.php on line 132
