    Hello,

I’m trying to configure Cookiebot correctly on my website.

However I cannot find any information about the Google Site Kit Plugin.

I do use Google Site Kit but I do not understand what enabling the Google Site Kit does and whether it should be enabled or not.

Can you please explain the goal of this plugin, whether it’s recommended or link to useful resources? It does not seem to be in the knowledge base.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out.

In the Cookiebot Plugin you have the option to use Add-ons.
When Google Site Kit is installed as a WordPress Plugin it will automatically become available within the Cookiebot Add-ons.

When enabling the Google Site Kit Add-on, Cookiebot will make sure that the Google Analytics script inserted by Google Site Kit will be blocked prior consent.
You can choose which categories the user needs to accept before the Google Analytics scrips are unblocked.

In the picture below, the end user would need to accept Statistics & Marketing cookies (As a minimum) – before my Google Analytics from Google Site Kit will be loaded.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our support.
