• Almost two years ago someone had asked about combining one of your sort options with a woocommerce core sorting option. At that time it was not available. I was hoping things had changed or maybe I am simply missing something on configuring your plugin.

What I am trying to do is have my few higher priced items in a category listed first. Then all of the remaining products which are priced the same but at a lower price listed alphabetically.

Is there a way to do this with your plugin either by itself or in conjunction with the woocommerce core sorting?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hey @susansoaps,

Thanks so much for your question, we appreciate hearing from our users how they’re using our plugins. ??

At this time, I’m afraid this option still isn’t available. That said, I’d be happy to let our team know this is something you’re looking for. Would it be possible for you to please let me know what problem you’re trying to solve with this kind of sorting?

While I can’t promise a change to the plugin, I can promise that your feedback will be reviewed. The more context we have, the better.

Thanks for any additional information here, Susan!

I make handmade soaps and personal care products. So for example, I have a few specialty soaps that are higher priced than the others and I wanted to be able to have them display first. The rest of the bars are the same price and I wanted them to be sorted alphabetically, otherwise, there is no order to finding them.

For the time being, I went in and manually set the menu order of each product to have them display the way I wanted. Adding new products or changing the price of anything though means I will also need to make adjustments to the menu order. So it would be nice to have a way to have the products sorted first by price descending and then 2nd alphabetically. Or be able sort using Woocommerce core price descending sort and then apply your alphabetical sort on top/or after that.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Susan

    Hey @susansoaps,

Thanks so much for the added detail! I can certainly see how it would be a bit of a pain to manually make those adjustments. Doing some tests on my own site, it doesn’t look as though products of the same price are sorted in any particular order, either, so I can understand your request.

As I said, I can’t promise this feature will be added to our plugin, I’ve filed a feature request on your behalf for review by my team, and have added this context to it.

Is there anything else I can do for you here, Susan? Please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Thanks so much,

    Julie ??
