I have a backup from last night that I cant restore via the plugin (it times out). I tried to manual upload it but get this message”

    Error
    SQL query:

    # Table: vaedn_options
    # Approximate rows expected in table: 3385

    # Delete any existing table vaedn_options

    DROP TABLE IF EXISTS vaedn_options
    MySQL said: Documentation

    #1046 – No database selected

My host believes it is a plugin issue. Im having my host restore my site for a small fee, but would like to avoid that in the future. Is it just a fluke? Did I do something wrong when I made the backup?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

What is the SQL command you ran to restore the file? If you’re using mysql from the command line, you need to also specify the database on the command line. If you’re importing using a GUI tool like phpMyAdmin, then you should select the database first, and use the ‘Import’ function within that (not the global one).

I think your host didn’t understand the question they were being asked. Either that or they don’t understand SQL (which is sadly quite possible).

    David
