Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I’m not very familiar with WordPress yet and am looking for either a plugin or a fairly easy fix.

I do not want any posts or pages or anything to appear on my homepage, but I am also looking to remove the “no posts matched criteria” section that appears there. I need to get rid of the text as well as the box that it appears in.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this, I tried looking already but could only find that it involves the WordPress Loop.

All advice welcome, I can make it work, but layman term me when convenient, please.

    Thanks

Most things in WordPress involve the Loop, so, if you want to customise your site, you’ll need to get used to working with it. The “no posts matched criteria” message is WP’s standard 404 (not found) error message. The best way of removing it is to replace it with your own 404 page:
