    Hello,
I am trying to install Sliced Invoices on my site together with Gravity forms and have some general questions:

    1. I created a feed and was mapping the Sliced Invoices fields but on the draft invoice the (full name) and (full address) datas are not appearing at all. I only can see the single fields. (Gravity forms has this option to add complex data fields containing more fields, such as address and name.)

    2. I am using Gravity fields to register for a conference and make online payments, therefore I added some products which the participants can purchase. These selected product fields are not appearing in the draft invoice at all, is there a way to add them automatically?

    3. Since I need an invoice for purchased product and not a quote is there a way that the invoice will be sent by e-mail immediately after submitting the form?

    4. How should I use the selected page (payments)? What is the purpose of this function?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I’m currently working on a fix for these issues.
We have a long weekend here so it likely not ready until Monday though.
I will let you know once completed.

    Cheers

Also just so you are aware, product fields will not be used.
Line items will be selectable on the front end by using the List field type in Gravity Forms and will be automatically pre-populated with the pre-defined line items that are set in Sliced Invoices –> General Settings. I’ll provide more details once complete but it should work really well.

There is just far too many variables with using the Product field type. And by using the List field type, it makes it possible to dynamically add more products to the invoice/quote. Much the same way that it works in the back end.

And if you need to allow them to pay at the end, you will be able to populate a price field with the total.

This would work well for quotes, but for invoices I would need the other way round. They select the products, they make the payment and then we send the invoice automatically. Such as in any web-shop. Otherwise I suggest you to name the plugin to Sliced Quotes, instead of Sliced Invoices ??
When I am using Gravity forms for my products I can set to receive an automatic notification with all details submitted, and at the end of this notification there is an “Order / Product” summary section with products and prices. That’s all I would need to be included in my invoice. Is that impossible then?

    Hi there,

Sliced Invoices isn’t designed as a traditional ‘web-shop’ where you have products that a client can choose and then add to a shopping cart.
Sliced Invoices is more geared toward the user creating quotes and invoices to send to clients, for services and/or products.

That being said, I have updated the plugin to allow pre-defined line items to be pulled into the quote/invoice form that the client can choose from and add to the quote or invoice.

It may not be exactly what you wanted, but there are a number of reasons for not being able to add Gravity Forms products to the invoice – the main reason being that the Line Items field needs to be mapped to a single field, and the List field is the only way to achieve this, whilst also allowing multiple products/line items to be selected.
